Perhaps I'm missing something, but I get the impression that the only point that is being made is that XX has finishes his shift in the "Nacht" rather than the "Abend". If this is correct, then I think the "happy hour" and Cinderella references are a bit too fruity.
I would suggest something along the lines of "For XX, the working day doesn't end until the middle of the night" or even "For XX, the working day doesn't end until the stroke of midnight".

: A paraphrase or rewording is the only solution, since the German is an untranslatable play on 'Abend', and 'Feierrnacht' is a coinage invented for this purpose. Another option: 'he gets off work when most people are thinking about a midnight snack'.
