One of our 5 sons is responsible for interior design in a large construction firm. His responsibilities cover the full range, including architectural aspects, but he and his wife just refurbished our # 1 bathroom on Labor Day Weekend with maximum results in minimum time, down to the bare walls. :-)))) It would have taken us weeks!
